Tough to find that exemplary player isn't it?
Yup but once you have him you actually can contend instead of pretend, or run a 1970's style offense in the vain hope that somehow that will get you to the promised land. So a team should keep taking swings at it regardless.

It might be only Rogers. Those other guys have very talented players around them

You don't think mahomes and Wilson's mobility and accuracy elevate others? Sure they may have decent teammates, but those teams succeed (not just compete)because of the play of those QBs.
I'd say Rodgers, Wilson and Mahomes as locks. A few others would be debatable. I think in another year you'll be saying that about Josh Allen.

I guess the others but Rogers has the least talent to work with. Adams, yes but betond that, what?

A damn good OL that allows him all day for those lower tier receivers to get open, and his ability to move in the pocket to make pass rushers have to change direction and double back.
Here's another perspective on QBs: most of the "premier" guys you mention get more chances to win games because the offense is built around them throwing. If they make a mistake, like an interception or a fumble, it sucks - but they are going to be asked to come back and throw more, and they throw more at the beginning of games not just when they are behind, so the mistakes they make are outweighed by their big plays.
Since coming to Minnesota, Cousins has played in a conservative "no mistakes tolerated" offense: we scheme to play every game close, mostly running the ball until we fall behind, and then ask Cousins to start throwing when the situation is desperate. With that approach, odds are much higher every QB mistake will be a heartbreaking one.
IMO this offensive unit has become a very effective one, especially the passing game, in spite of Zimmer. I don't have illusions that Cousins could ever turn into Pat Mahomes, but if an offensive innovator was in charge and had Jefferson, Thielen, Smith, Cook, and Cousins to work with, I bet this would be a top 5 unit - and we would win more games by a margin that lets some interceptions be forgiven.
I dunno. Cousins was PFF's 15th ranked QB in 2018 under DeFilippo, and moved up to 6th in 2019 under Kubiak. I like Cousins and wish him well as our QB, obviously, but I don't think he's the guy that'll ever lead you to a SB win unless he's got a stacked roster behind him.

Outside of DK Metcalf what does Wilson have? Dont say Tyler Lockett is that good, as I think he's a prime example of a QB elevating a player. At this point in his career I am not saying Brees because he has a dead arm...shoot i'd more lean Rivers over Brees this year.
Rodgers, Mahomes, and Wilson are locks.
Maybes are Watson, Allen, Kyler, Tannehill, and Herbert/Burrow?
