What do you guys think about this?
Garrett 56-40, playoffs 2-3
Zimmer 57-38-1, playoffs 2-3
Garrett 56-40, playoffs 2-3
Zimmer 57-38-1, playoffs 2-3
I saw this elsewhere

Big expectations in Dallas with teams that were considered talented. Higher profile job in Big D means more scrutiny.

Zimmer and Garrett are really similar in their results, I think this was noted last year when Jerry Jones was allegedly eager to hire Zimmer. Decent record in regular season, don't get very far in postseason. I think someone also did some statistical comparisons showing their issues in nationally televised games and/or "big games".
It would be interesting to compare their results against teams with winning records vs losing.

I've posted that comparison more than once. Garrett's last 6 years vs Zimmer--Zim gets a pass from fans because he's the "tough guy", the cussing, tobacco chomping good ol boy. Garrett is sort of stoic, milquetoast, etc.
But basically they are the same--working in a job past their expiration date due to an owner with blinders on. Or rather Garrett was the same til he got canned. He had 10 years and contractually Zim has the same.

If the Vikes only win 3 or 4 games this year is Zimmer back? I will bet he is, with the defense rebuild, covid etc. he'll be given at least one more year.

Saw another stat today, Zimmer vs winning teams 16-27-1 .367.

Hindsight.. Zim is an Ok coach and a good defensive coordinator. IMO he has burned through to many DBs and offensive coordinators. Time for change
