Pretty hard to argue against the offensive production with the Viking's offense. Irv will get some looks when defenses shift to take Thielen/Jefferson out of the game more. Maybe. Cook is the NFL's leading rusher so lots of weapons out there more impactful than Smith. 4 games in only. I mean how long was it last year before Rudolph caught his first TD? October 20th I think?

This offense has the top 2 rated WRs in the league by PFF.com and arguably the best RB in the league. I'm fine with Smith's lack of production in that light.

I think the OL troubles are also keeping TEs engaged in protection longer. But he did seem like a player who was about to take a big step forward, and Cousins loved throwing to Jordan Reed, so it's kind of mysterious.

That's exactly it. Add to that the fact that among the TEs drafted in the first three rounds last year, ISJ is the only one who's not his team's TE1. I thought it was possible that ISJ could overtake Rudy this year, and he still might, but Rudy has been playing pretty well, as has JJ, who's become the 2nd receiving option.

ISJ was a pick for next year when Rudy is likely gone.

I think teams playing Nickel against us and Hammer’s solid play also affects ISJ.  I was hoping to see him running across the hashes against LB’s as was Kubes old standby but that hasnt happenned yet.   Makes no difference ar this point 80% of our problems are D

Through a quarter of the season, It was a mistake to  presume  ISJ was gonna be part of Vikes offense this year.

Given ISJ resume  no way did I see him as a role player.

You’d actually have to have an interior line that could block for a couple of seconds to hit those TE’s  down the seam...!  Confused
