Dru Samia, how did he grade yesterday
#1
Was hoping to see good play from second year guard Dru Samia.  Saw him get tossed to the ground twice.  Did he make any plays or is he a future cut?  Team does not seem to be able to draft good OL and train them up for the NFL.  Is Dennison really the OL guru he was made out to be?

Horrible grade, I believe it was the worst on the team? He got owned. He's garbage and that's too bad as he was on a really good Oklahoma football team. I thought he'd be talented.

Now we know why he couldn't beat out the Elf. How can Rick and company be so bad at offensive lineman evaluation?

I heard he has been upgraded, but is still in intensive care.

I didn't see the game and probably shouldn't comment, but in the one or two highlights I saw he was terrible. Sounds like the team knew what it was doing in starting the evil elf. Don't know if Dozier was any better.

I don't know why the Vikings can't seem to get tolerable play from their guards. For the luvva David Dixon, 49ers and Chiefs dragged out rancid pig slop on their 5th and 6th teams and somehow found a way to make them play....tolerable. That's the thing...nobody's expecting greatness, just...tolerable, adequate. Goddam...gimme league below average...just something that forces the jail breakers to pause a beat before sitting on our QB.

From 2011-18, Spielman drafted 14 offensive linemen, and only 1, Brian O’Neill,  had more than 1 good season. 7%. That’s just a blind squirrel finding a nut. Too early to call Bradbury or Samia but don’t get excited.

That's not a fair fight, not even close. The DL room for the Colts will be laughing at that one for a while.

At some point we have to wonder why our O coaches can't coach some of these kids up more? It does not fall squarely on RS's shoulders - although much does.

He gets his cues from the coaching staff on traits to draft for, they gotta coach em up once they're here.

Boy, when a season goes bad, everything goes bad. But this poor OG play seems like it's plagued this team since Hutchinson retired.

Frankly, I want to see the next play to see how Dru responded to the ass kicking.

For christ's sake, NFL teams STUMBLE into serviceable OGs EVERY year via the draft....but not Minnesota. Its the least talented part of the O-line. PFF.com said Minnesota might have the worst starting guards in the league.
