At this point I am rooting for covid to end the season early

I mean we looked awful. I do not get how I can be going into the year for the 12th year in a row knowing that the Oline is garbage. The CBs should be paying fans to watch them. Just terrible.

Coaching? Just forget about even talking about that. We were outschemed the entire day. But hey at least we signed zimmer to an extension. Hell.
Is this thing on?

I want to know where the hell my season tix refund is Zygi?! I got that $ spent already on a new tv I watched your shitty team on today lol!

They brought Zimmer in after Frazier cause the D was  just atrocious in those days. He's had an ok run, but not enough of one for us fans of the franchise for decades to be fully satisfied.

That D won them lots of games and had some gaudy stats a l# of seasons too. But they sure didnt show in the biggest games.

There is definitely a pattern of out-coached and schemed. Lafluer, 49'ers, those types of scheme and personnel have Zimmer's #, until he proves they dont.

No Hunter. And no Everson Griffen. And Yannick hasn't played football in a long time, he'll need a few weeks. Pierce, the guy they signed to plug the middle opted out. Could not generate a pass rush against Rodgers so you're going to lose the game that way. That's what happened. Vikings O-line played inconsistently, but I think they'll be better as each game goes on. That's not my worry, the D-line is for the short term.

No Linval Joseph either, Waynes, Rhodes or Alexander. It's going to be growing pains with corners and the OL is still a steaming pile.

There will be two big winners this year, the team that wins the Super Bowl and the one that has the worst record as Lawrence is the kind of player who will turn a franchise around.  We are painfully obviously not the first one, but are leading the way for the second!

It's a different dynamic, this ain't what we have been raised to appreciate.  But it's all we got, it's better than sitting in the basement playing first person shooter games or watching porn.  Really who among us is gonna write the next great novel , I mean shit, cumulatively your expectations have to be realistic before you are disappointed.

until there is a different coaching staff that understands it is not 1986 anymore and top draft capital should be on offense it doesnt matter. The current group would pass on Lawrence or Lance anyway.

Sticky, by the time we get some of these issues fixed, it will be too late and the season will be lost. And let's be honest with ourselves, fixing these issues will only come with some experience for our young secondary having to learn on the job, waiting for Hunter's return, and Ngakoue getting comfortable with the scheme. That's not going to happen this year, at least not before the Packers run away with the Division. That's not even counting the poor scheming, game planning, lack of adjustments, etc. this coaching staff displayed against their biggest division rival. Also, if we continue to trot Bisi Johnson out on the field as our #2, we will continue to see what we did today. He disappears in big games against good teams. It's too easy to shut down Thielen and derail our passing attack waiting for someone else in the WR/TE corps to step up and make plays.

I'm thinking, despite all the success we've had the last few years, the Zimmer era ended after last season. We've been in a decline since 2018, especially on defense that's supposed to be his strength.

I know this year is exceptionally weird with COVID, but this just seems like a repeat of of the last couple years with even less enthusiasm. And I don't mean morale, I mean in their coaching strategies, FA, draft, etc. We're spinning our wheels.

Its one game. If this continues all year, yeah its a shit show. But I'm going to take it one game at a time before I start going ape. This mini rebuild was always meant for 2021 anyway.

Not saying I don't feel frustrated, I'm saying I'm going to see what happens the next 3 games before I decide how I feel about this year's team.
