NFL players are opting out of the 2020 NFL season

By the hour, now NT Eddie Goldman for the Bears. I've heard 6 Patriot players have opted out?? How the hell are they going to have a NFL season?

The answer is they aren't.

sounds like a good trial for a rookie/developmental player league/season.

Can’t wait till we win the Super Bowl this year, so our one ultimate victory has an asterisk next to it.

honestly though,  how much of this is covid and how much is it players looking at their starting QBs and say F-it,  if the GM is sitting out this year... I will too.

A lot of guys with newborns really have a tough decision to make. That's what Hightower cited as his reason for electing not to play. The next month is going to be really interesting for the NFL

I get your feeling on this - but I agree I don't want an asterisk on a SB win. We would never hear the end of it from Packer / Bears fans. That we needed a world wide pandemic to get a SB victory.
