I think at this time I would reserve judgement either way until somebody with real information sorts through all this mis-information .

Just like it was all out of states in st paul and 80% in Minneapolis and then it turned out to be much different there are things at play here that atent revealed yet that are skewing reality.

You do what you want but I think it would be prudent to sit back and wait for more information before getting outraged at breaking news from any source.

Unreal.  Yes, let’s wait to let the cops to tell their side of the story with the kicking of sitting girls, the spraying of mace of people walking by.

Who is supposed to show restraint here?  Who is the one with the gear, batons, and guns?  Who is the one who is PROTECTED BY LAW to beat others?

You wait and when you hear something that sounds like you want to hear, you can say these abuses are warranted.

You might need to go meet some real cops and soldiers.  The worlds authorities are not out to get you and those that abuse their power are a micro fraction of their associated peers.

But You think what you want,  you are entitled to that.

Did you even watch this?

You have lived in the middle of the country, probably the majority of your life.

I have lived in 4 of the largest cities in America from 18 to 36 (Philly 2yrs, Miami 1yr, Minneapolis 1.5yrs , Manhattan 10yrs). What do you know about my experience with police?  How many cops have you come across in your life?  I can ensure you it’s not as many as I.  Living in NYC you are with the cops everyday, most of them are good.

And what does that even have to do with the videos, it shows you didn’t even watch them because if you did you would find most of it disgusting and an abuse of power.

I don’t need a full explanation from a cop to understand why a medic gets maced in the face, why a 80 year old man with a cane gets pushed, why PD fire upon people in their own homes after telling them being on the porch is ok, why numerous journalists (WCCO, Vice, CNN, NBC) have not only been arrested but attacked.

You might want to sit this one out and just moderate because you ignorance is showing

Nope, i didnt waste my time on your string of propaganda,  dont need to,  your agenda and your  angle is well known.  I'm just saying that for about every horrible slanted video or quote there is a "rest of the story".  I could spend my time looking for it, but it would be wasted on you.  I will sit it out and let you have your fun.

What a hypocritical clown you are.  You don’t even have the courage to look, yet you make statements on it.

Pathetic

I dont need to watch every video, I have heard the horror stories,  but they still only account t for a very small fraction of police/public interaction  and this crusade to paint them all as racist abusers is wrong IMO.

I've responded to your stuff in the past and had you go silent so I'm not wasting my time with you any longer

And if you want to stay in this board find a little nicer tone towards others or leave now.

This is a place for civil conversation not an angry shitfest,  if that's what you are looking for,  look some where else.

Being part of this board is a priviledge and it can be revoked for not following the rules that all agree to when the got permission to use this forum.

Agreed.  If you can't have a civil discourse, then you won't have any.  Abuse of power by the police is very troubling.  It doesn't just happen in the instances that get hijacked for inciting riots.  It happens to all races, and often without the spotlight of social media.
But as Jimmy said, watching some cell phone cams that are likely cherry picked, if not outright edited to incite more anger and hatred is not productive to the dialog.

these arent cherry picked.  these are videos of what has been happening.

there are great videos of PDs and communities Flint, Schenectady, Jacksonville, etc.  we all get to see those and we should.

but we shouldnt be afraid to see how ugly these responses have been to people who are excerisizing their right to protest, some not even protesting, excerisizing free press, and in the case of the suburbs. Being on the porch of their own home.

watch and tell me you find this ok. if you do, you are much closer to being on the authority side than you think.   You cannot speak on videos you do not watch
