Vikings may want to first see what they have in their drafted safeties and corners who might play safety. They may also want to see what the Dalvin Cook money looks like before committing to Harris long term.

So what happens if theres no football this fall?  Do these guys get paid or do all contacts toll?  It would suck for a guy like Harris who isnt young trying to get his first big deal.

I think it’s just that Harris is going to cost too much long
term, we can’t really justify having two massive safety contracts, but at the
same time we have so much uncertainty at CB this year that we need to pony up
for a one year rental just to smooth over this year.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Dirty Harry get an "extension" one of these days. Something a little more team friendly that allows him to wrap the career here
