Quarantine art
#1
Mr. Petty will be completed soon. The time off has let me dust off my art skills.

I've got more sketches started of some of my music heroes
Hoping to have about a half dozen  or more over the next couple of weeks. SKOL!

Very nice.  I really like the petty one.

My wife and kids have been working on art as well.  My wife and a couple of the kids are very talented.

I wait til I'm done for the day before imbibing.

Weed isn't a problem but if I start having a few drinks and keep painting, I'll have some sloppy mistakes to correct the next day. B)

Let me know what you've got in mind.

Tom Petty is only my 3rd drawing/painting that I've done in the past 20 or so years (I finished Waylon last week and I finished a Todd Snider earlier this year in charcoal.

I had sketched out the whole picture but I was getting sick of that messy ass charcoal so I cut my losses and called it a day.

I used to draw a lot (even for work. I was an Illustrator in the Army) but as my job shifted into more of a management role through the years, I quit drawing. Just recently got back into it.

I'm really liking the Black oil paint on white canvas right now. I have a list of projects coming up including a Pink Floyd The Wall painting.

I've got a killer Stevie Ray Vaughn sketched out along with a Bob Seger, David Allan Coe, Jim Croce all ready for painting. Ronnie Van Zant also.

Post a picture of what you're thinking about for Roger Waters and I'll see what I can do.
