I really want to know your opinion on this. I really would love if it turned out this way and we could benefit right away. I am okay with people laughing at me if that is what they choose to do.
I would love if we went.... This all depends on if we add a CB in FA
22. A.J. Epenesa, DE - Great at point of contact. Power, speed, and moves
25. Ross Blacklock, DT - Great power and motor. Perfect addition to a hole in need
58. Prince Tega Wanogho, OT - Perfect in the zone blocking scheme. Moves well. Perfect fit.
89.
Chase Claypool, WR - This is about where I want to get our WR. Has is
it all speed, power, feet, great at contested catches, good route runner
brother we laugh, but its not because of your picks. :p
personally I dont see us ending up with 2 first rounder. I am of the notion that with no offseason the way this is looking that the smart move will be to try and move about half these picks into next year when the coaches will have more time with the draft picks and be better equipped to know what they got for the future come cut down time. I would like to see one of this years firsts flipped to a first for next year and a 2nd or 3rd this year, as well as one of our 3rds this year converted to a 2nd next year. I just think this virus thing will have teams locking players out of the facilities until mid June at the earliest and with no pre draft workouts that will really limit how much our coaches can do with the young-uns.

I wouldn't expect anything less haha
I just wanted peoples opinions. I feel its fair and very realistic. I think they are good fits as well with our schemes
Big fan of Claypool, if he's any relation to Les.
I like the Blacklock and PTW picks. Epenesa is interesting. I think he's going to be a great player, but I'm unsure of the fit. I think of him mostly as a 5-tech, but he could also be a 4-3 base end on early downs and move inside and a be 3T on passing downs. Who knows, that might be appealing to Zimmer. No idea what he has up his sleeve.
I think Claypool will be a move TE in the NFL. I heard someone compare him to Shannon Sharpe. We don't really need a TE, but imagine a weapon like that opposite Irv when Kyle moves on.
Round 1 Pick 22: CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma (A+)
Round 1 Pick 25: Xavier McKinney, SS/FS, Alabama (A)
Round 2 Pick 26: Jordan Elliott, DT, Missouri (A-)
Round 3 Pick 25: Ben Bartch, OT, St. John's (B)
Round 3 Pick 41 (COMP): Jalen Hurts, QB, Oklahoma (A+)
Round 4 Pick 26: Troy Pride, CB, Notre Dame (A+)
Round 5 Pick 21: Khalil Davis, DT, Nebraska (A+)
Round 6 Pick 22: Hakeem Adeniji, OG, Kansas (B)
Round 6 Pick 26: Mike Danna, DE/OLB, Michigan (B)
Round 7 Pick 5: Josiah Scott, CB, Michigan State (B+)
Round 7 Pick 35 (COMP): Bryce Torneden, FS/SS, Kansas (B+)
Round 7 Pick 39 (COMP): Ty Lee, WR, MTSU (A)

Still have to have 53 on the Roster. As things stand today there are 10 Players that left and 1 that has been added. Even with the Hunter restructure and other tweaks they're likely to sign 2 more, 3 tops. That leaves at least 6 and more likely 7 spots to fill. You trade too many picks into the future you run the risk of needing to hit on every single pick or being overly reliant on UDFAs just to fill up the Roster.

can likely find some help with the other cuts that will come as teams work to create cap, theres usually a few decent players let go in June as well as once camp starts when teams do the "right thing" and release vets early that they know wont make their roster. I would really like to see us with a plethora of day 1 and day 2 picks next year to be able to make a move for a top QB, assuming that we dont stumble onto one this year.

Love the passion to project! I watched the entire Iowa vs. USC move on YouTube. Couple of Giants were breaking down the Epenesa vs. Austin Austin Jackson matchup for their podcast. It was really interesting to hear NFL guys, and 1 was an Offensive Lineman, talk about college kids.
Their takeaways were that Epenesa is a freak athlete that is overly reliant on one or two moves. They think he'd be a monster 3T if some team moved him inside.
But I do agree with you that DE is a sneaky big need. Ogdenigbo is perhaps best used as a supersub all over the Line rather than as an every down RDE, which makes losing Weatherly a much bigger loss than was generally discussed here.
I like the idea, but not the pick. Blacklock is a great pick. Same with Prince. I'm going to disagree with waiting so long to pick a WR, though.
Is it a deep Draft for WR? Yes, for high floor guys that can contribute right away. But the high ceiling guys will be gone by Minnesota's 2nd Round pick.
I'm a little tired of the false narrative that a run-first team doesn't need 2 good Receivers. Hello, did we not just get walloped by a run-first team that also had 2 good WRs in Sanders and Samuels? Having 2 good Receivers is part of having a good rushing attack as the Defense can't just load the box constantly.
And I'll say it for the thousandth time, Gary Kubiak had two 1,000 yard Receivers on his Denver Super Bowl team. No, Diggs production won't be replaced solely by a Draft Pick. History says not even Lamb or Jeudy or Ruggs will put up 1,000 yards as a Rookie since it rarely happens.
But you still need a guy to take up some of the slack. And let's face it, Adam is over 30 and coming off the type of injury that tends to recur at his position. Johnson or Ceephus or Claypool, etc., are all good prospects but project more as #2 WRs.
Let's use the opportunity to get Adam a true running mate that is also his future successor. Mims is intriguing despite the limited route tree. That usually is the kiss of death for me after the Patterson flop, but Mims is such a freak athlete that it's hard to pass on him. Reagor is really good.
But I'm on Justin Jefferson. He's very much like Thielen in that he does a lot of damage out of the Slot but is perfectly capable of lining up outside and killing you there too.
#22-Justin Jefferson-WR
#25-Ross Blacklock-3T
#58-Prince T the OT
#89-Damon Arnette or Troy Pride-CB
