Just announced on his Instagram account he is leaving the Vikings and thanked the fans. No announcement on where he has signed as of yet.

Craziest offseason ever

I'd say Mike need to channel Dennis Green.
Be like Denny. Every year he'd lose players. Every year you'd think they are done. Every year he'd find a way.

What an offseason of change. A lot to digest. We should have expected it, however.

Vikings DE Everson Griffen announced on his Instagram, "It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye."
Griffen's agent said, "We have broken off talks with Minnesota because they have to spend their money elsewhere and we decided to now focus our attention on free agency." Griffen added that he's in the best physical and mental shape of his career. The 32-year-old DE has racked up eight sacks in six of the last eight seasons dating back to 2012. His dominance on a per-rush basis was clear in 2019, as his 66 pressures were the 14th-highest mark among all edge defenders (PFF). The market figures to be solid for Griffen, even if it's a shorter-term deal.

I kind of think they slammed a door they didn't need to now. They have no pending deal but are merely breaking off with the Vikings to concentrate of free agency. I don't get why you announce that. Sour grapes?

Vikings offers must have been pretty underwhelming...

I think the Vikings are better without him.

I agree.  I don’t understand why you would rule your team out without a solid and better offer elsewhere. It makes you think that something else must be under this.   This whole offseason seems weird to me. I can’t recall one where so many players left or one where there seemed to be no plan in place to rebuild.  It can’t all be done by the draft.  Our one major signing —a huge contract—is not even in our primary areas of need. What gives?
