@JosinaAnderson

I'm told former Baltimore #Ravens NT Michael Pierce is close to agreeing to terms on a 3-year deal with the #Vikings, per source."

  • Vikings agreed to terms with NT Michael Pierce, formerly of the Ravens, on a three-year, $27 million contract.Pierce is a truly elite run-stuffing nose tackle, and he'll replace Linval Joseph in Minnesota after Joseph was released to save cap space before signing with the Chargers. 27-year-old Pierce tips the scales at 6'/345 and will be a foundation piece on early downs before coming off the field in passing situations.

He looks like an excellent run stuffer and someone who can command double teams, which Joseph could do for a long time, but was struggling with last season. He did have some weight issues in training camp last year, which is a concern since players tend to add weight over their career and lead to him playing about 40 snaps per game last year. Should be able to have Stephen rotate with him, but hopefully he can get in better shape here.
