OT: Parasite

Anyone else seen this Oscar winning film?

We streamed it last night...

Some pretty heavy messaging, poignant, and violent too.

I'm sure most of us American will miss the more subtle cultural innuendo...

Best pix worthy? Not sure I'm on board with that, but when you're up against Ford vs Ferrari? (which wasn't a bad movie btw).

Hmmm, not my kind of movie...  Now 1917, very high on my bucket list and well worth the price of admission to see on the big screen!  JMO.

I've always enjoyed war movies and the Mrs is very enthused about seeing this one.  My son gave it two thumbs up.  We'll see!  thanks for you comment!

I watched Parasite on Saturday with the Korean in-laws.  They loved it.  I liked it but did not think it deserved Best Picture.  Because of all the hype, I probably did not enjoy it as much as I should have.  I thought it fell apart a little at the end though the build up was well done.

I agree. 1917 was excellent.
I paid a little extra and seen it Dolby. Big booms to go with big screen.

I like well done movies and some war ones have been excellent. Didn't feel that way about 1917, but that's JMO. I'm one that doesn't even look at critical movie reviews as I think everyone should experience it and judge for themselves.
