Bucky Brooks Top 5 By Position
#1
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001...osition-10.

Tua as QB1.

Maybe there is good reason Brooks is a former NFL scout.

OTOH, Burrow's  numbers prior year, pre-Brady were Charmin soft:

57.8% 16TDs 5 ints

I can see Tua being the #1 QB without injury concerns. There is plenty of talent and production. Burrow actually scares me and he isn't on the level of Lawrence. IMO.

Actually, if you take away the injury, I think a lot of folks would have Tua over Burrow. And since nothing is known about that (I'm betting his medicals leak the day before the draft), you can't really ding him for it.

I'm definitely going to have to watch more Jordan Elliott. He's getting a lot of buzz right now.

I don't remember a year where the pick has been so open. Last year, I predicted our pick on January 20th. It's February 12 and I don't have a clue who we're going to pick, or what position he plays. Depending on what happens with Joseph, Griffen, Reiff and Harris, It could be 3T, CB, OT, OG, RDE, 1T. Even QB and S are possibilities.

I like Burrow but what worries me about him is that LSU was LOADED. He's got decent physical skills but not great.

Tua did just clear his first medical hurdle, but not out of the woods yet.

My fear is we go CB. But each day that passes where neither Zim or Rick don't have a contract leads me to believe that a prospect that can play Day 1 makes more sense.

I don't see anything controversial with having Tua ranked as the #1 QB in this class.  If it weren't for the injury history, he'd probably be the consensus #1 instead of Burrow who is a one-year wonder.  It is an interesting QB class with some high upside guys, but some serious downside to them all.  It makes me glad the Vikings aren't in a position where we NEED a QB this season.

The one thing I really like about this draft is if we hit the WR pool late Day 3 we are going to land a guy who would go Day 2 in a normal year. Crazy deep WR class.

I agree with this so much. The time is now to get your #3 WR that we have been so much in search for. Diggs gets dinged up and Adam didnt look near as explosive after that hammy.

It won't be OG at #25 unless it's one of the Tackles that gets kicked inside. Whomever said Burrows isn't athletic is smoking crack. He's got twice the movement skills of Brady or Brees. Tua would be #1 simply due to body of work if not for the injury. Xavier McKinney is much more than an in-box Safety.

One of either Johnson from the Gophers or Ceephus from the Badgers will get picked by some lucky ass team in the 3rd. Talk about value!

My dream Draft is LT (Jones most likely, Becton if the football gods are smiling), 3T (Elliott isn't as raw as Hunter was, I think with this Coaching Staff he gets up to speed fast), CB.  I think it will probably be CB, 3T and LG in that order because there is almost guaranteed to be a shiny CB available at 25 and the Tackles may very well be gone.
