Takes him through 2022 Year Total Liabilities Salary Cap (Projected) Cap Room2020 $157,600,490 $201,005,976 $43,405,4862021 $139,672,057 $201,005,976 $61,333,9192022 $124,424,266 $201,005,976 $76,581,7102023 $95,080,000 $201,005,976 $105,925,9762024 $16,700,000 $201,005,976 $184,305,976 Adding two years and paying him about 10 mil per year for the next 3 seems fair----------------------------------------------------------------------- With 43.4 mil remaining in cap space they have plenty to sign Harris, Waynes or Alexander, Bailey, Colquitt, Ham, and any others. It does not include a QB extension either. I am personally hoping they can sign Joe Thuney as the #1 target.

They have a lot of work to do but a lot of it was honestly done years ago. They have plenty of flexibility to not only get under the cap but retain some of their own guys and shop around the edges of free agency. The new CBA will actually be a major contributing factor in how things shape up for MN in the next month or two. Without clarity on how cap roll-over will work moving forward teams are going to be encouraged to spend up to the cap. Basically, use it or lose it. Hopefully that gets addressed shortly.

Quote: @"Geoff Nichols" said:What are the odds they spend big to get a player like Joe Thuney. Thuney played with Bradbury at NC State. Well, they were on the team together and Bradbury played a little in Thuney's last year. Do you think the Vikings are ready to move on from Elflein? Would they spend north of 10 mil for Thuney? They need to do something because the draft is not going to provide the answer.

More cap talk. Here's how to keep Reiff and Griffen and still end up with $18M in space....
