Spielman isn't the problem.  Zimmer might be.

Dorsey is the idiot who forgot that the Browns O-Line sucked in 2018 and did nothing to address it. And he wanted Kitchens over Stefanski. Barf.

Ok. And his time with GB and KC is totally dismissed then?

I'm just saying that in his last gig he was more interested in adding shiny objects like OBJ and hiring a HC that was the weekly butt of Rex Ryan jokes instead of fixing the O-Line to help his young QB.

What is far and away the biggest issue in Minnesota? The O-Line...

Agree.  Speilman has been very good in the draft overall with numerous late round finds - Anthony Harris breaking out this year as the latest example. Mattison looks to be a really good find as well although he was a 3rd right?  But great value so far.  In addition to drafting a GM also has to determine the teams free agents to resign and those to pursue as well.  I think he has been above average in resigning the right guys to keep on this team and about average (maybe slightly below average) in free agents to bring in.

HC is responsible for game planning, getting team ready, game management, hiring his coaching staff, and of course player development.

I think Zimmer is an OK game planner which includes the whole team not just defense.  This team does not seem ready for many, many big games over his stint so far - so below average.  I think he barely average (better every year) at game adjustments but still just average.  I think he hires some real experienced coaches which shows confidence because many are former HC's who could threaten his job per se.  He has had some flops like Defillipo last year but overall I would put him at above average there.  I think he has been above average at player development as well with his strength on defense of course...Anthony Harris being his latest successful project.

Overall, I would rate Zimmer as slighty above average and Speilman, IMO is a Top 7 GM.
