It won't be pretty at U.S. Bank if the Bears win

It would be the absolute shittiest way to head into the playoffs. 2-4 against the NFCN. The bitter taste will still be lingering from the Green Bay shit show. I can imagine a hail storm of boos would rain down. Just ugly. Let's hope that isn't the case. I mean, is Zimmer really going to sit guys in this game and then have the very real possibility of a loss happen? I can't imagine that would be a possibility outside a blow out win? I really have no idea what the plan is. I do know the Bears are going to play hard in this one.

I have zero excitement toward this game personally. I still hold out some hope (foolishly) that they surprise us all and get a win on the road in the playoffs. But we know the old saying about hoping in one hand and crapping in the other.....

I let one of my season tix partners use my tix to take his kid to the Bears game. As a fan I have ZERO interest in this week and I think Zimmer is going to rest a lot of players too.

Maybe they'll get hot in the post-season?

Fan has to hope....

I'll still watch because I always watch.  However, don't really care if they win or lose especially if the starters aren't playing.

There is nothing at stake here, rest the starters

Yup.  I would say it's a meaningless game and don't care what the outcome is.

Last weeks game rendered this one meaningless, and perhaps the post season as well.
They asked Cousins if he was going to play this week and he said he wasn't sure. Well I'm sure he didn't play last week, so what's the difference?
It's difficult to care about anything Vikings after last weeks massive let down.

The 1 and 2 seed in the NFC (obviously) get a bye. Teams scratch and claw all season to earn those spots. In recent years a spotlight began to emerge on that bye as lower seeded away teams found ways to beat the "better team" on the road. Did the bye week cause rustiness or put those teams at a competitive disadvantage? That was the question. As we've gone along, our solution to how ridiculous that reality is seems to have been to move the spotlight onto Home Field Advantage. You can't deny the advantage that brings...

Washing away the stink from last week (or ignoring it for a moment), the Vikes are in a unique position right now.

Nobody has earned the 1 or 2 seed quite yet. That's a pretty big deal for a competitive (when they show up) 6 seed about to make and take their own 1st round bye. There are 4 teams ( 2 head to head!) who are playing to NOT be a 3 seed this week. They are going to beat the shit out of each other for those spots while we rest... The 3 seed will have that home field advantage but they'll also be about as beaten down as a 5 or 6 seed would be in the 2nd round of the playoffs against a fresh team.

I’m not convinced this team would beat Chicago, even if we didn’t rest our starters, sigh...
