Was this their superbowl?
#1
No excuses for the Vikings last night, they shit the bed.
But just curious what others think of the Packers co-opting several of the Viking celebrations?  Their D was definitely up for the game, but from repeatedly using Hunters kung-fu kick to yelling "you like that?" one has to wonder if this was their superbowl?
Hopefully they fall flat on their face in the playoffs now that they think they have arrived.

They won the North in enemy territory. That's a reason for their fans to celebrate.

Reminded me of our 2015 winning The Norris @ Lamblow with some young studs on D at the time.

What should be making them a bit nervous (a sense of urgency minimally) is father time has clearly caught-up to Rogers - and it's ticking.

I think this was their coming out party. Vegas and the Media dubbed Minnesota the better team. That has to hurt when you've already beaten them, not dropped a single Divisional Game, are missing potential playmakers and still haven't fully synthesized the McVay Offense with what Rodgers likes.

The reality is that they're the better team. Top 10 QB of All Time and Top 3 O-Line means no matter how sluggish the Offense is at any point in the Game they know they can turn it on late and put up points. Minnesota doesn't have that confidence.

It's the Defense that separates the two teams now. Their CBs are just good enough  to allow them to attack a lot more without getting burned. Used to be Clay Matthews blitzes and if he didn't get home, which was the norm, they'd give up the chunk play.

Now that Defense can bring both Outside LBs off the edges or have 1 line up inside or even just rush 3 and they get enough explosive plays to make up for the chunk plays they still give up.

They are better on both Lines if you count the Smiths as rushers. And have a HOF QB. And have the more aggressive Defensive Scheme. Once Matt & Aaron fully integrate they will be a problem for several more seasons before Rodgers starts to decline.

So yeah, they had a chip on their shoulder coming in and rightfully so and Minnesota was the victim of that wrath.

They definitely had that chip on their shoulder.  Zimmer said that they played a lot of coverage, as in they dropped most of the guys into coverage rather than bring pressure.  Our issue was that without Cook or Mattison, we couldn't run the ball against that and our line got beat by 3 man pressure multiple times.  I didn't hear Clark's name much, but I think Cousins gets really antsy with middle pressure.

Z Smith got instant pressure against all 3 interior Linemen. That's really where the game was lost. Elf stinks. Bradbury looks a lot more like Ragnow than Pouncey or Martin when comparing recent 1st Round Centers. Kline is League Average. Throw in Reiff getting beat multiple times and even O'Neill and KC had to feel like there were 12 guys rushing him every play.

We need to face the facts. Kubiak and Dennison and their scheme has covered a lot of deficiencies that bad to average teams couldn't expose. Hell, the Chiefs only had 1 good D-Lineman when Minnesota faced them and he single handedly recked the gameplan.

O'Neill is more than good enough and Reiff is OK unless against speed so teams that primarily generate pressure from the edges, like Minnesota does, don't expose that Line like teams with good DTs. Teams that good in the middle and on the outside can completely shut the Vikings Offense down like last night.

The window closes if Rick doesn't find a way to add 2 more Starters in the Offseason.

The Viking's OL is massively overrated on this board. They got their asses kicked. They look and smell like a one and done team in the playoffs. I hoped the line had improved and they have to some extent in certain games, but they aren't playoff caliber. Elflein and Bradbury are very weak spots. We all drank the Kool-Aid to some extent with the O-line as fans, me included. But good lines don't get annihilated like that.

Nope they are just good at being better then us.  They clowned us because they could. It a rivalry game. They just reminded the guys they are once again the better team.  Have been for most of 25 years. Is that even a rivalry anymore?

Personally I saw two teams that aren't going anywhere in the playoffs last night. Funny how the Vikings are the only one that make the GB defense look good.

Did you mean Bradbury looks more like Ragnar?
