I cant help but think this is just a precursor to the NFL clearing him and the Pats saying welcome back.   The league cant have the goat going out looking like shit.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

It's amazing how contrite one can become after a meeting with your agent and accountant when that monthly nut comes due.

A future as a color commentator calling division 2 games on the "Ocho" doesn't pay as well as the NFL.

Shefter is saying the League is in no hurry to decide his punishment because not one single team has expressed any interest in knowing if and how long he'll be suspended as a precursor to signing him. He's not playing again this year.
