Once again schedulers give GB extra days to prepare for the Vikings at their home.

I don't have a good enough handle on either of these teams to predict with precision...I suspect a split with the Pack and Bears - sweep of the Lions this year.

I'm not sure what the folks at the Academy were looking at when this incredibly poignant moment hit the reel...*lip quiver*

I think the Packers are improved but the Vikings are the better team. None of that matters though in a divisional game. Especially the home opener for the bad guys.

I think Rhodes can shut down any big receiver in the NFL, but he struggles with the smaller, quicker types like Davante Adams. Adams always plays pretty well against him. Another area that concerns me is the slot. Geronimo Allison is a bigger slot so Kearse might actually be a better play there than Alexander. He concerns me because I dropped him in fantasy, which means he'll go off because that's how fantasy works.

I think the Packers front line is good and their secondary is very good, but their linebackers are suspect and so is their nickel corner, Tramon Williams. So I'm guessing we'll see a little more 11 personnel and more of a balanced attack from the Vikings--passes to the backs and receivers targeting the nickel. The key, of course, will be pass protection. That scares me. I think Cousins gets pressured a lot in this game.

So it will come down to breaks and mistakes. Who gets them and who makes them. Could go either way, but Rodgers doesn't play particularly well against Zimmer.  And this defense, with its new disguises is likely to give him nightmares. If Cousins can avoid making mistakes under all the pressure, Vikings win.

Looks like VG83 take it this week, unfortunately.  Not a good game for the purple.
