Wonder who started that one up?

Proud has a site I like too. Seen a few of you over there.

Usually like to stick with one site, but there's some decent ones out there - even in the era of twitter.
Funkytown and Reignman, back when VMB randomly shut down because of the whole ... AP thing.

Some of the originals: Funkytown, James, VikingsBoss, dvike27, etc. actually came from WeAreVikingsFans.com, if any of you remember that community.

WAVF > Vikings.com > VMB > Purple Pain Forums

The first three boards shut down, kind of out of nowhere, so a few OG members got together and started their own board. It's been around for a handful of years now.

Off Topic is allowed, but it's separate. All topics are allowed, but no personal attacks, trolling, etc. Very rarely moderation is needed there, because, for the most part, most members debate topics respectfully.

They also have some original content from time to time, here is an example:

[OC] Analyzing Vikings QBs and the Last Decade of Offseasons

Essentially, it's an 8000 word piece exploring all of the offseasons since 2011 to see if the Vikings had better options in the draft, free agency, or via trade, regarding the QB position.

A few people over there work on "original content", too. Some weekly things will be starting up soon now that the season is right around the corner.

They're also part of a bigger NFC North community, because they're affiliated with a Bears board, Lions board, and Packers board. Again, all good, respectful communities. So, with one click, you can chat with other NFC North fans.

I recommend checking it out.

Sorry for the book!

I'm not familiar with those first three boards, but I can tell you that fourth board provides excellent football coverage.

But, unless you have an orange ring around your mouth or you're ok with posters openly talking about murdering those who have different political opinions and another poster offering up their backyard for a mass burial, I'd stay out of the bulk of the political threads over there.
Funny, we feel the same way about your beliefs here.... but just in case you were wondering, we have many liberals on the board there, politics arent really discussed much anymore, as the board just gained close to 200 new members from when 24/7 started closing their doors
Hey Sir Viking Bob VWO, I see censorship is alive and well at the Horn...well, I guess everyone deserves a safe place huh? I wanted to see how I and others had missed the sudden influx from the left.

Anyways, congrats on the new members. Looking like out of that 200 you gained 5-10 consistent posters. Well done. Maybe Thor's Hammer will suffer less donuts for replies.

Speaking of your podcast, congrats on making it to year five! It seems like just yesterday you were literally begging me to come on. May I provide some constructive feedback?

First, in your teaser campaign you made it quite clear you had a new crew (excuse me, krewe, which is totes adorbs!) Anyhow, you asked Spin not once but twice if he had ever done the podcast before. Did you write some questions down? Because you sounded totally unprepared. It was almost as if you were interrogating him. Anyway maybe ask more questions about his podcast on content,  following, hits,  etc...I'm not seeing a lot of value in the same question twice. But maybe your audience has a short attention span?

Also, you sounded nervous. With the amount you allegedly drink, and after doing a podcast for four years, I thought you'd sound more polished. But, not everyone is Tom Moore. Could I send you some Jamison or something? When the listener hears nerves, it's a big turnoff.

Finally, did you know about the feedback issue? If you didn't, well sending out a product without at least one dry run was lazy and rude to your listeners. Maybe start the next podcast with an apology to both faithful listeners.

If you did, then you were just careless. It's not a good look.

Quick question about Spin, was he wearing eyeliner? I mean, I know I don't have a problem if a guy wears eyeliner, but it shows real growth by you of being accepting of more types of people. Kudos on your enlightenment.

Finally, I liked your nice shout out to Tom and Mike. Of course, after you blamed them for holding you back content wise on this board, that might ring disingenuous to some...

Anyhow, say hi to P1 for me. Sorry his thread got deleted on Pain's board. From what I gather, it sounded like he was maybe challenging me to some kind of 80s danceoff? Sounds like he was pretty triggered. It's a bit amusing how easily be can be set off.

SAY, isn't it amount time for him to announce he's leaving for the 17th time?

Wink

Yeah, but that is just normal self-inflation.  The personal attacks in response crossed that line.  It is kinda like Clark Griswold going psycho, but in response to some kid thinking Santa is real.

Do you mean the personal attack from Jimmy? He called him out on the crowd size...man, someone else has an over inflated sense of crowd size too...it'll come to me...
