Sloter saves the day again LOL
#1
Another average day for him. 6/7 for 102 yards 1 TD and led another TD drive to lead us from behind again.

Guy definitely deserves to be 3rd string. No doubt about it.

Here are some numbers for your Sloterday Night. So far in three years of preseason games, Sloter is...
95 of 126, 75.4%, 11 TDs, 0 Interceptions.
I don't know what the rating would be but it would be ridiculous. Like 130 ish. And that 75.4 completion percentage would be an NFL record.

Sigh. I have to admit that I don't get how you can't play him with the #2s. Its not a huge deal to me, but it seems Sloter is a gamer.

Only time Vikes offense was in sync all day was with Sloter. He is impressive. It's to the point now where I wonder if another team with one of these younger, offensive-minded head coaches might try and trade for him. I know he's a third-stringer, but he looks good.

EDIT: (The Dalvin play was amazing but felt more like an outlier rather than the first team being "in sync" to me.)

Perhaps the Cardinals.  Sloter played much better than their backup Hudley who played most of the game and didn't look good at all.

What are the chances that the Vikings can unload Sloter to a Quarterback strapped team for a 1 and a 3rd?

A first round pick? Probably zero.
I get the feeling Rick/Zim would happily take a 4th for him. And if he's so bad in practice that they're continuing to value that over what he does in games, then they may as well trade him. Whole thing is a little frustrating as a fan.

Again, he's playing against 3rd string guys. If you want to make an argument that he should get some time with the #2s, ok. But a 1st and a 3rd for him (I'm guessing that was sarcasm)?? lol. Even a 4th round pick is silly.

Watch the drives he was in yesterday: mostly clean pockets, time to throw and guys were wide open. Also: look at the stats of other QBs playing around the NFL in similar situations: good stats too. Social media has made everyone highly critical and 'knowledgable' about every sports-related. Kirk has a crappy game yesterday and now fans want Sloter to start. It just is all so goofy. Fans are the worst, they really are. And the best.

If they really wanted to trade him they should have been showcasing him against better talent and playcalling to his strengths.  I honestly have no idea what they are doing with this kid,  there seems to be absolutely no plan for him to provide  any value to the team at all.

Hes shown far to much for practice squad.  His true abilities are unknown since hes only shown his game against weak talent so his trade value is poor and he has built no confidence from the staff to move on from Mannion and go with Sloter.

the kid is in football purgatory and is not happy about it....how do we think this ends for the Vikes?
