No, this is not an article from The Onion. It's our President's Twitter account:
"Denmark is a very special country with incredible people, but based on Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen’s comments, that she would have no interest in discussing the purchase of Greenland, I will be postponing our meeting scheduled in two weeks for another time...."
Go ahead, explain away this insanity ...
at this point what difference does it make.

The second half of the tweet sure changes the perception of the first doesnt it? We have no idea what was discussed prior to schedueling the meeting. Maybe there was initial interest? Maybe there wasnt but if the reason for the trip was to discuss the purchase then canceling it seems perfectly reasonable.
He also basically called Jews stupid. But to his cult followers, he can do no wrong.

So its well documented that I didnt vote for the man.
He said : I think any Jewish people that vote for a Democrat - I think it shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty, ' Trump told reporters.
How exactly is that different then what we hear from democrats about black people, or brown, or gay, or pretty much everyone who isnt a straight white male? Is it because a “republican” dare try and get a demographic to vote for him? Or is it that we should forget about what those two vile women have said about jews?
I get yall hate the guy but lets hate him for the stupid shit he does. There certainly is enough of it that we dont need to be offended by the little stuff that the media tells us we should be offended by.
There's no denying there is a great deal of absurdity re Greenland, even hilarity....
But then both of these have become cornerstones of this admin.

On the one hand, you're absolutely correct. Democrats can say stuff like that (and much worse) and will NEVER get called out for it (either by the MSM or by posters here). On the other hand, that fact doesn't diminish my opinion that his interest in Greenland is curious (at best) if not outright silly/stupid. If Obama did this, he'd be nominated for another Nobel Prize... but rather than "whataboutism", I'm just going to agree that- unless there was some behind-the-scenes conversations that we're not aware of (and I don't think that Trump is the kind of man to keep secrets), this was dumb.
Actually, I'm surprised that the media didn't find a way to spin this as racist: "Oh, sure: you want to buy Greenland... because there's lots of white people there! Why don't you offer to buy a Caribbean island... or Africa??? Racist!" B)
Since when does the US pay for land vs just taking it???

1) Greenland is not for sale
2) To cancel a trip, because Denmark won't sell Greenland, is just one more example of him throwing a tantrum on the global stage.
So I called my neighbor, told him I wanted to buy his house. He said it's not for sale. I told him I won't be coming to his house for dinner next week because he refuses to sell me his house.
But hey you're right, when you're a brainwashed cult this is perfectly normal and not the least bit stupid, bizarre or embarrassing.
