I'm known for being a non-fan of our sitting President, and that hasn't changed. I've found him to be, largely, a babbling buffoon the whole time I've been aware of him.
THAT SAID-
-in his speech this morning, dealing with the tragic mass shootings/domestic terrorism that occurred over the weekend, he actually mentioned both domestic terrorism (something he's seemed reluctant to do, previously) and white nationalism...which, theoretically, may have pissed off much of his reported base...even though I consider that "support" to largely be overblown by a biased media.
I give him buckets of criticism/mockery over his many gaffes, but I try to call a straight game. I applaud his speech this morning, I applaud the repeated calls for unity, and I especially applaud him calling out a group that's an undeniable threat to the country right now.
If he manages to continue working more toward healing the country and less towards twitter spittle, I'll be genuinely impressed.

STRETCH RUN, VIKINGS...LET'S END THIS SEASON WITH BANGS!
