First two games are brutal

I just realized the Vikings play a football game 1 week from tonight. Wow. In one week I'm finally going to see the results of cutting the cord. Thinking PSV is probably the best solution.

In related news, in doing my fantasy research, one team keeps popping up as underrated to me. At least offensively. Very good offensive line, good QB, good back, two very good receivers. And it's who the Vikings open with. The Falcons. We should win it at home, but this is a better team than most people think. A team you can't slip up against and expect to win. And if we lose, we go into Green Bay where anything can happen. 0-2 is not a hard scenario to imagine.

Yes, 2-0 is more likely than 0-2, because the Vikings are better than both team. Sill, I don't like that opening one bit.

We've seemed to give "Matty Ice" fits for the most part.  Maybe it's kinda like with Eli Manning: we just have his number.

I'm (obviously) hoping that we dominate both games, but I naturally want us to perform a truly vicious beat-down on our week 2 opponent...!

We face 2 great QB's with less then great teams around them. If it was at Atlanta I would be more worried but still not undoable. Green Bay on the road is never an easy one.

0-2 less the 25% chance.
1-1 even money or better.
2-0 better then 25% but not even money.

I'll go with 1-1 as the safest guess.
If 0-2 I'm pissed and it will show.

Yupper - smells like 1/1 to me. Division road games are just plain difficult.

Agreed and I said the same thing about a month or so ago. If Minnesota can go 2-0, I'll feel pretty confident this team can be a playoff team in 2019. Even against very good opponents like the Falcons, playoff teams will win their home games during the regular season. Its a good barometer. Winning at the barest minimum of 6 games at home is crucial.

I think 2-0 is more than 50% possible, but a lot of that will rest squarely on how quickly our offensive staff, our offensive players, and the scheme are integrating this offseason.

If Stefanski and Kubiak have managed to create a smooth transition to a new, better offensive philosophy...our team should be downright terrifying.

I think it's good though. I want them ready and focused. I don't want to ease into a schedule. You either punch your opponent in the mouth or you get punched in the mouth.
