Mueller? Mueller?

Tomorrow, July 18th "was gonna be a new day in America!"  -- Sen Blumenthal.

Well, Dems need another week to begin "a new day in America!"   Smile
(btw, Blumenthal references the SDNY that folded tent, today.  He (Blumenthal) also references the emoluments clause case,  that was also recently  tossed, with prejudice https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/07/e...cond-case/)

Lowly California Congressman Nunes.... prescient.

Linked to a video that should have gone in a different thread.  Not applicable here.
I thought this was interesting.  Pretty much parroted what I was saying earlier.

Whoah, Nellie!

(link)

"In addition to adding notes of his meetings and phone calls with Trump to the official FBI case file, Comey had an agent inside the White House who reported back to FBI headquarters about Trump and his aides, according to other officials familiar with the matter."
Spying  x 1000.

In the meantime, Mueller was reminded what Prosecutors are allowed to share, when they don't bring charges.
They rarely get to post their one-sided findings... as they weren't challenged in court.   AND, they're subject to DOJ guidelines.

Mueller's testimony will be interesting,  but the big news is with Horowitz (DOJ IG report) and REALLY BIG NEWS with US Atty.  Durham.

Getcha popcorn.

That was sad.  Sad to see a decorated Marine lost and at-sea... not know his own report... doddering about.... asking "Speak up, Sonny".

I've never directly witnessed elder abuse, but that's what we witnessed via Jerry GoNad-ler and Adam Schifft-less.

And that's just not me (a rabid right-winger)... that's plenty of Dems.

David Axelrod:  "This is very, very painful"
Terry Moran: "Impeachment is done"
Laurence Tribe:  "Disaster".    I could go on.

Out of many things to comment on today....
Can we finally agree that 'prosecutors don't exonerate'...and therefore, the whole volume II 'obstruction' part of the Mueller report,
ending with "we cannot exonerate him."....make the whole volume II an absurd farce?
I ask, as many who've disagreed with me on this topic, have brought up the "can't exonerate" as a serious defense of continued examinations of Trump.

It was such a strange thing for Mueller to say. it would be like saying in a court of law that someone was presumed guilty unless it could be proven that they were innocent.  Now, Trump may very well be guilty of some things. But it does not appear that there is evidence to convict him of those things. At least not yet.

If you weren't able to see the hearings today... this may have been the most emblematic give-and-take of the day.

From my homie from Georgia....

There's a few things that make America exceptional, imo.

Our Constitutional design that flow from Locke's "Natural Laws".
Our Constitutional design of Separation of Powers.
Our Jurisprudential design of "innocent until proven guilty".   << bedrock cornerstone.

It's amazing to me, that so many Americans would forgo an important distinguishable American characteristic, for hatred of a duly elected official.
That's just me, tho.  Smile

Who would forgo an important characteristic?

It is rather quiet today - I figured maybe the chirpers have become woke?

The "woke" turned into a "wake".
Who can blame them?

Here's my take away:

Trump not exonerated
Trump would have been indicted if not for the OLC
Trump could be indicted upon leaving office
Even if impeached by the House, the Senate (where by the way, M M is sitting on 100+ passed bills) would never convict

The battle was lost before it began. It's too bad lying about a bj is deemed more serious than trump's many crimes.
