Minnesota Vikings running back Roc Thomas suspended by NFL

Vikings running back Roc Thomas has been suspended for three games without pay by the NFL for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
Thomas, 23, was sentenced to three years probation in May after pleading guilty to a felony charge of marijuana possession. After complaints to his building’s management, a Jan. 16 search warrant was carried out at his Mendota Heights apartment. Officers found about 5 ounces of marijuana.

At least it wasn't a 4 games suspension.

Vikings released RB Roc Thomas.Thomas will serve his three-game suspension elsewhere after pleading guilty to felony marijuana possession in May. A 2018 UDFA with Minnesota, Thomas merely notched 10 touches over five games with the team in his rookie season. Third-rounder Alexander Mattison remains Dalvin Cook's backup following Thomas' release.

This was always going to happen after the suspension was handed down: the Vikings are set anyway at RB.
