The Indians have been on a bit of a hot streak...  I'm not sure how real it is though...  in the past month they split with the Reds, swept the Tigers twice, split with the Rangers, won two series against the Royals, and lost a series to the Orioles.  The only good team in that group is the Rangers and they didn't even win the series.

If you look at what they've done this season by month, they went:

Mar/April: 16-12
May: 12-17
June: 17-9
July: 5-0

Meanwhile, the Twins have done this:

Mar/April: 17-10
May: 21-8
June: 15-12
July: 3-2

They Twins have been playing more consistently good baseball in the first 89 games.  It's easy to get caught up in what a team does in their last 5 games, or 10 games, or even 20 games...  but personally I'm just enjoying this season.  This team is really fun to watch and has a chance to be in the mix in October.

3 Twins Prospects Could Be “Off Limits” In Trade Talks

With July 31 approaching, the AL Central-leading Twins have reportedly shown interest in an array of pitchers who are potential trade candidates. The club has been connected to Madison Bumgarner, Will Smith, Marcus Stroman, Ken Giles and Kirby Yates in the rumor mill over the past few weeks. However, if the Twins are going to make win-now moves this month, it doesn’t it appear they’ll come at the expense of any of their absolute best prospects. Shortstop Royce Lewis, outfielder Alex Kirilloff and right-hander Brusdar Graterol are “off limits” in trade talks, according to LaVelle E. Neal III of the Star Tribune.

They were doing a ton of batting re-work with the guy...Had to take a # of steps back. Hopefully he (and the team) are going to reap the benefits going forward. 

I'm not ready to give-up. Not saying he's the next Big Pappy, but  I could see this going down a path like that and I  can't stomach another one of those.

He's got the power,  and most everything else,  but will his brain take to the teaching or will he revert back as soon as he has a little success?  1 for 4 with 3 Ks today.
