The rest of the AL Central sucks so bad the Twins will coast.
they have the indians at least 8 more times... I dont know that they way they have played the last couple weeks that they would survive any coasting.  even in their wins they have looked like a different club that absolutely monster mashed the month of may.
I think you're being too hard on this club...  I think the Twins are the only team in MLB to not have a 3+ game losing streak (the most they've lost is 2 in a row a few times) so far this season.

Every team hits a couple of rough patches over the course of a 162-game season.  Last I checked, the Twins still have the best record in the AL and are just behind the Dodgers in all of MLB.

Let's face it...  the Twins have a very good team.  Hopefully they address their biggest weakness (bull pen) before the trade deadline.  If they can do that, this team can make some noise.

I watch part or all of  most of the games,  there is something off the last 3 weeks with this team.  I know the records and all give a warm and fuzzy, but this team isnt playing ball any where near where they were... a series or two and I say ok,  but they have been struggling to get wins against teams that they should be destroying.  I think the team started hot and is maybe getting a little full of their success and the rest of the league is warming up.  If they dont start playing ball for 9 innings again soon they are in trouble.

and its far more than just a bull pen issue these last 3 weeks.  teams are starting to get after their starting pitchers,  the defense has been suspect, and the hitting has gone down hill quite a bit,  especially hitting with RISP.  yes the redsox are a decent club and should give them a challenge,  but they have been looking questionable against some of the weaker teams in the league the last few weeks.

It a marathon in baseball not a sprint. Ideally you shoot out in front then set a pace you need to maintain for 4 months. This has never changed. We got spoiled. They are fine.

Ideally you feast on the we are ker teams and that allows you a stumble or two ,  but they are letting weaker teams play with them.

Well, the Astros have lost six in a row...  And 4 of those were to the Blue Jays and Reds...

Should their fans be worried?

Sorry for forgetting they are +110 in points scored and still own the best record in the AL. Stumbling???
Guess the jadedness in Minny does run thicker then just purple. We always fail because it's our way I guess.

After dumping Molitor and the rest of the position coaches, I expected this Twins team to be crap or mediocre at best.  The fact they have the best record in the AL, and the second record overall is nothing short of amazing to me.

This team has flaws in the pitching staff, and some unproven young players in the infield, but I'm not complaining one bit.  Do I expect them in the world series?  Nope, not really.  I see glaring weaknesses with pitching, but I knew that going into the season.

I think the bar has been raised considerably since the season started, but I do think this team is for real, and will compete in the post season.  Not sure if they're good enough for the fall classic, but it's a great turnaround for this team that Twins fans can actually have that very real conversation.

Skol Twins!

I dont watch the Astros so I cant tell you if they should worry or not.

Watching the Twins I can say that they have been playing like shit the last few weeks and if that were to continue their early success would be for naught.   They had a nice 10th inning yesterday and that string of hits looked more like what they had been doing, unfortunately it took the BP blowing another lead to get them to that point.

There are good ball players on that roster,  but they need to pick each other up and that hadnt been happening recently.
