Your MN Vikings 2019 USB Stadium Food Line-Up
#1
Freezer-aisle favorite Heggie’s Pizza is coming to U.S. Bank Stadium for the 2019 Minnesota Vikings season.
Milaca-based Heggie’s will be the pizza supplier for the Vikings’ home stadium this year, the team announced this week as it unveiled a slate of new and returning food vendors. The Vikings open the season at U.S. Bank Stadium Sept. 8 in a matchup with the Atlanta Falcons, the first of eight regular-season home games.
Aramark (NYSE: ARMK) runs the concessions at U.S. Bank Stadium, and this year the Philadelphia-based company is partnering with five local brands in addition to Heggie’s to feed the game-day crowds. They include Arepa Bite Latin Food of Mounds View; Bloomington Chinese restaurant David Fong’s; Heritage Tea House of St. Paul; St. Michael-based No Name; and O’Cheeze, the Twin Cities food truck with a restaurant inside St. Paul’s Keg and Case West 7th Market.
A few of the most popular returning vendors will be getting additional locations inside U.S. Bank Stadium this year, including Rusty Taco, Market Bar-B-Que, Andrew Zimmern’s Canteen and Lil’ Mini Donuts.
New menu items this season include vegan Buffalo Jack Sliders made with jackfruit, available at Be Graceful in sections 124 and 139. Be Graceful’s menu also includes nut-free, egg-free and sesame-free ice cream a la mode, a Greek salad wrap and a chickpea “tuna” salad that is actually vegetarian (no tuna) and potentially vegan (if you hold the cheese).
Breakfast and Lunch Nachos and a Bourbon Bacon Jam Hot Dog will be served at Delta Vikings Village outside of the stadium before kickoff. And in section 118, North Star/MN Favorites has added a walleye sandwich, fish and chips, tater tot hot dish and the 4th Street Pork Belly Skewer

Ha!

You probably wouldn't like Cafe Gratitude either...It's one of our faves when visiting our kid in LA. The LA scene has Vegan places that are pretty damn good believe it or not.

And get ready for the avalanche of vegan, plant based product about to hit your store shelves:

I don't really get the whole eating specialty foods at a football game thing. Give me a beer and a bag of peanuts and I can eat at Manny's after the game for what it would cost to eat at the stadium.

Yup.  But skip the beer.  Have one or two before hand and save the $9.

I can't stand over paying for mediocre food.

Saw the Whole Foods CEO saying some not so nice things about vegan meats.  He said something to the effect that most people won't eat healthy vegan food, they want it to taste like other foods so it is usually made with over processed crap.
Said people have to train their pallets if they want to eat healthy.

And I say, give me home grown, grass fed beef and I am happy and healthy.

Taste, Price and Convenience will rule in food as always...

But there aint no denying the plant based food growth - and it's not small potatoes anymore (lol!)
