Vikings assistant GM George Paton declined to interview for the Jets' open general manager position.Paton has been linked with several jobs over the past couple seasons, but he has either declined interview requests or been blocked by the Vikings. Eagles VP of player personnel Joe Douglas is the favorite for the Jets job.

Good for him. Probably didn't want to go to a team that chose to give their GM access to $100M in cap space, blow most of it, then draft two big-time character risks in Polite and Edoga....and THEN fire him hoping to lure someone else to come in and manage it all.

Interesting breakdown of Paton's pros and cons written by Jets media pre-rejection.

Seems like deja vu all over again.

Didn't this happen a few years back already?
edit: RTFA, yes in 2013 and 2015.
That said, light the beacon
Stellar draft record
If there’s anything the Vikings have excelled at during Paton’s time toward the top of the flow chart, it’s owning the NFL Draft

I feel the same with Stefamski,  the question is how long do they have to wait?  PA swears that stefanski will be a HC inside of 3 or 4 years and with Zims age I think that fits,  but how long does spielman hang around?

It's a coastal thing---awhile back we had a similar disfunction with the hags to  a certain degree.
