Christian Persecution
#1
I was raised Lutheran before I decided that I couldn't trust organized religion some 2+ decades ago.  Despite this, when I see people really walking the talk of their chosen religion/spiritual path for the greater good, I try to be supportive.

So, I have equal disdain for the various holy-book-thumpers that cherry-pick their tomes for darker reasons and the atheists who treat all religious people as idiots.

The following situation is one that I've been watching, and after the "Easter Observers" babble from various DNC idiots...WOW, it's pretty tragic to see how this is shaping up:

Wow...basically Beto was the only one to cite "Christians", even Trumplestilskin whiffed on that one?

This is at the intersection of stupid and tragic.

Yep; just as Jesus warned (in both the Gospels and Revelation).

Was that between the chapters involving keeping women at lower status, particularly in the case of sex slaves nuns...and those of prepubescent sex slaves altar boys?

Confirmation class was over 3 decades ago, I've forgotten some things.

Yeah, it's really shaping up just as predicted...

What Bible were you reading?  No wonder you don't trust churches: they were telling you lies- because those are not in the Bible.

Admittedly, that was more about the history of man failing in representing anything larger than him/herself...and, having spent 3 decades in New Mexico (where many "reformed" Catholic priests were posted), it guaranteed that my cynicism toward religion would be insurmountable.

Well, there are other denominations out there... that DON'T do the things that you hate.  But, admittedly, they are still served by sinful people.

And there are Catholics that follow the teachings of the Church that don't do that.  But as you say, wherever humanity is involved, there will be sin.
Hopefully the hiding of this scandal is over, we need to rip off the scab and clean the wound.  The sinful behavior of priests, bishops and possibly even the pope is tragic.
