Actually, we can: because we know that those who die- if they believe in Him- yet shall they live.  That's what today is all about!  So, yes: it is tragic that violence happens and people die.  But it is comforting to know that that's not the end.  Since there were Christian churches being targeted, it is safe to assume that those martyrs have been raised up again- and now wear the crown of life.

There should be no other response to this than, "that's absolutely atrocious that humans can do that to each other. We're a flawed species and need to do better in the future."

'Thoughts and prayers' are never going to change anything in this world.

Why?  The people who died believed Jesus' promise that they would live again.  For them, Easter's promise has been fulfilled.  And, out of a terrible, tragic situation, that is the good news.  You don't believe; but they did.  You're free to live without hope if you want.  But why are you trying to keep others from having it?

If you want to pit the positive contributions of Christians (and the negatives) vs. the positive (and negative) contributions of atheists, let's go.

I don't understand the anti-Christian bigotry that some folks have, that they absolutely cannot let a statement of faith by Christians stand on its own without interjecting their own opinion.  It's almost like they are trying to "convert" others to unbelief.  Weird.

Thats great that theres an after life but that BS saying violence happens and people die.  It shouldnt.  We should be striving for a violence free world as imperfect as it might be.

What if the dead person was an atheiest or even a devil worshiper?  Theyed be sent to hell with less time on Earth for you or anyone else to bring them to Christianity and be saved.

Who said that?  I said it was tragic.  I'm not sure what you're upset about, because I never minimized the tragic nature of death.
