I think I could hang with the long snapper.

Cousins has things to prove as a Viking, but the team hasn't helped him much with that offensive line he had to work with obviously. From the outside looking in its just another Cousins mediocre year that ends in no playoffs. That's why they play the games, big year in 2019.

So everyone who watched even 5 minutes of Vikings football last year knows our greatest need by far this off-season is the offensive line.  And there is really no debate on this issue.  In addition, our offensive play-caller was fired mid-season for calling too many pass plays and not enough run plays.  So there we were with one of the worst - if not THE worst - offensive lines in the NFL and we are calling more pass plays than just about any team in the NFL.  It does not take a football genius to see that this is a recipe for disaster.  All season Cousins was under as much heat as any QB in the league.
I am not arguing that he played great, he didn't.  But we wanted him to single-handedly carry us to the playoffs behind a terrible line, knowing that he is not the most mobile QB in the league.  Because of his salary, Cousins gets blamed for the Vikings not making the playoffs.  He had plenty of help.  I don't know how much money we have invested in our 11 starters on defense, but if you don't think that Cousins earned his salary last year, I would say the same for our pricey defense.
