Sherels just said that the Vikings did not make him an offer, they were moving on.

Sherels was always one of my favorites...  mostly because fans kept proclaiming he would get cut and the little Chinchilla kept proving them wrong...

I wish you the best, Marcus.  Cheers!

Said to be 'chasing a Superbowl'. lol, yeah that ain't happening in Minnesota. Best of luck to the kid.
Only March and the season has already been forfeited. Yet the team went to he NFCCG game with a terrible offensive line and a backup QB the season before last.

From the book of faces, no idea how legit this is

NFC ELITE EXCLUSIVE
Marcus Sherels  Purchased a massage chair from me last year. He upgraded his chair and I asked the installer to talk to him to see why he made a decision to go to New Orleans.
He informed my installer that the Minnesota Vikings called him last week and told him they were moving in a different direction. He said several teams were intrested in him and he said New Orleans had the best chance to make it to the Super Bowl so he chose them.  Vikings were not going to resign him.

Hard guy not to like going to a team that's easy to hate.

During his span in Minnesota, he returned 231 punts, took back five punts for touchdown, averaged 10.6 yards per return. Sherels added another 53 kick returns at a solid 25.5 yards per return.
He ranks 26th all-time in punt return yards, ahead of some of the best returners in NFL history in Dante Hall, Deoin Sanders and Josh Cribbs. In fact, his yards per punt return is better than Hall and Sanders and 0.1 yards per return behind Cribbs.
The most impressive stat of Sherels’ career might be the fact that he had only one lost fumble.

Ball security is job #1 for a punt returner, and he turned that into a fairly impressive NFL career.
