With 18th pick of the 2019 draft, the Vikings select...
#1
For me, free agency was...meh.  Now I'm trying to gear myself up for the up-coming draft with moments of worry.  Curious though, but I haven't followed the college level player much this year.  I would like to know others' opinions on who the Vikings select and why.

With the number 18 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select...

Deionte Thompson, S, Alabama

Jonah Williams

We take Williams, book end him with O’Neill and slide Reiff to the inside.  Klein, Collins, and 3rd roud OG fight it out for RG

Personally I am high on Collins, I think and ONeill will develop into studs for years to come, adding one more could give us a strong foundation for Cousins / Sloter

When was the last time the Vikings drafted a player from Alabama?  I can't recall...  I'd bet against either being our first pick since it seems like we avoid guys from that school.  LOL

I agree on Williams, Skodin. But I see him taking over LG for like 7+ years. My gut says Maroon is right and Minnesota will add a Tackle in the 4th to groom to replace O'Neill in 2020 when he moves to LT.

Cody Ford will be the consensus selection but Zim will call in Thompson's name out of habit.

Rudd maybe?

I'm thinking Lindstrom now at #18

This draft may be the ultimate situation to drop back once for sure, maybe more than once. The amount of defensive players in this draft might allow us to accumulate more picks and still get a stud lineman, either offensive or defensive
