The thing that concerns me is that it doesn't look like Cousins plays well when the lights are at their brightest. Case seemed to have that fight in him where you rarely felt like the game was unwinnable. It wasn't always pretty but he scratched and clawed and could bring the team back from a deficit. Then you have QBs like Cousins who can look like All-Pros in certain situations but they stumble and wilt under a little bit of adversity. I really thought I was wrong about Kirk after the GB comeback in week 2 but now I'm not so sure.
The weird thing is that Cousins threw for 200 yards and 1 TD last night, while Wilson threw for only 72 yards with 0 TDs and 1 INT, but yet Wilson looked so much more in command during the game and I never really doubted that he was going to make a huge play at some point in the game to get his team the win. (And I can't stand Seattle or Wilson, so it bothers me to say that, but it's the truth.)
And yes, the O line and everyone involved in that disaster can suck my balls as well.

But how many yards came after the game was over? And wasn't Kirky's fumble returned for a TD the coup de grace on another patented Vikings/Cousins primetime chokejob? We certainly know his lone TD came with @ 1 minute left in the game, while the Seahawks were celebrating their win. I'd put a big ol' asterisk on THAT TD pass for sure.

No, I agree, most of Kirk's production came in garbage time. I guess my main point was that even with Wilson's completely crap stat line, he still looked like the better QB last night.

That's the grand illusion of Cousins. If you look at the stats you think he's a top 10 QB easily. But the production doesn't translate to consistently WINNING games. I know several die hard Redskins fans, and not 1 was upset that he was leaving. The MO for him was a lot of garbage time stats and a propensity for big mistakes at crucial times. Seems balls-on accurate thus far, OL, coaching and all the rest of the typical Vikings "excuses" not withstanding.
I've been a Cousin's supporter....still am to a large extent, but he's a slow mover. He looks downfield in the pocket with noise around him, which is admirable, but he doesn't feel the pressure from behind. Horrible fumbler. But I certainly feel with a better offensive line, you can win with him. Especially with this defense. At the same time, its time to look for Kirk's replacement after his 3 year contract is up because no way will they resign him. They won't be winning a Superbowl. And the team needs to look at the new-age NFL QB types that are given every offensive rule advantage in today's NFL: draft a guy next year. Hell, draft another one in 2020 also.

I'm not so sure about that. Rick may have brought the free agent QB that will ultimately cost him his job! I've seen 5 games where Cousins has played poorly. Bad offensive line aside, he has been what the Redskins thought he was.
He may get the whole lot them fired if he can't improve; including Rick.
Cousins...like any QB...has holes in his game that were well known prior to his contract. But he was and is far better than any QB we had on our roster and the money is what it is.
Yes Cousins is not as mobile as (fill in you favorite mobile QB name). And the fumbles when getting hit are clearly a problem. His INT's are below the top 10 passers so it's not like he's a chucker. So all the good and bad facts about Kirk were well known.
The error in RS's calculation was the quality of the patchwork OL that was hobbled together to protect this investment. A pocket passer needs a pocket and to think Kirk now needs to become Russell Wilson is silly. RS needed to build up what was already a glaring weakness from 2017.
And how has that been working out? So you are suggesting Rick didn't make a mistake bringing him here.
Seriously, I keep hearing this offensive line excuse, but seem to recall Favre coming in in 2009 and making a very poor offensive line better.
Interceptions may be ok, but what about turnovers?
And even if Rick's mistake is the offensive line, it's still Rick's mistake.
This team was considered a superbowl contender before the season by most people. And though there is plenty of blame to go around, Cousins has not looked like any better than the journeyman QB we had last year.
He's not a winner and neither is Spielman,nor the Vikings!
