Yet games are still allowed in Chicago in Decmeber/January...

I’m guessing this is more about money than anything else.

No doubt, that field is a whole lot of torn ACLs about to happen. I feel bad for the fans though.

Wasn't it a year ago or so the players on the sidelines were using filter masks and o2 masks due to the air polution in Mexico city?  Why would the "players safety" league even reschedule another game down there to begin with?  Greedy hypocrites!

esthetically it looks like shit,  but we have seen the NFL play games in NFL stadiums on worse field conditions and do it on a regular basis.  that field hadnt been painted yet,  if they had given it the true green paint job like some stadiums do and then slapped the lines and logos on there nobody would be able to tell the difference.   some players were bitching but I am sure they were just going off of rumor and hadnt actually seen the field in person to assess its condition.   There are some really shitty fields that the NFL uses so to cancel because of the field IMO is a joke,  they have a marquee matchup and want to play it in LA to help drive up interest in their product IMO.

and they water it the morning before games to make it a little slick.  their guys are used to it and practice with the longer cleats and such,  our guys have at times not even had the right cleats to start the damn game with.  personally I think there should be standards to the fields like there is for eveything else.  have the league officials make recommendations to how the fields will be prepared and maintained instead of leaving it up to locals.

They police everything else, you'd think that would be more the case.

I don't know how visiting teams can't get the cleats right - and do so before kickoff. That seems to be the case a lot there.
