What a shame...

Two years ago, the inside of the Raiders locker room was electric. The fourth-quarter comebacks were constant, Derek Carr was an MVP front-runner and Super Bowl dreams were real. Players spoke at length about knowing, with a certainty, they'd find a way to win when they trailed by double digits.
There was fun, laughter, magic in the air.
Now? Step into the Raiders locker room and you'll think you've stumbled into a funeral. Voices are slightly above a whisper. Only 11 players from that 12-4 team remain.

Really feel for them. Such a likeable ownership, coaching, and fan base. Yeah, my only regret is that it isn't happening to the Packers.

Adding Gruden to that mix there only made it easier to hate a team I already did. Win-win.
I mean just lose baby!

Gruden is trying to remake the team in his own image, so to speak. He has the autonomy and the time to get it done.  We shall see if he is as smart as he thinks he is, but I won't pass judgement for 3-4 years.

I think Gruden only gets one extra year of bad performance due to his contract.

isnt the whole 100 million guaranteed?  the davis family wont shell out 70-80 million in buy out money just to get rid of chuckie.  IMO he gets at least 5 years to make that team into his own creation... it takes a while to accumulate 5 recognized QBs on the same roster.

He inherited a strong Tampa team, won a Super Bowl with it, started tearing it apart, and it turned into crap. Now he inherited a team that was at least decent, and maybe could have been tweaked back to its 2016 level of contending...but he did the same thing, tearing it apart.
For Derek Carr's sake, I hope Gruden trades him after this season. I think there will be a market.

Two days after signing with the New Orleans Saints, receiver Dez Bryant sustained a potentially season-ending foot injury on the final play of practice on Friday, according to multiple reports.
Bryant had to be helped off the field, according to NFL Network, which also said that the Saints feared he had torn his Achilles’ tendon. He was scheduled to undergo magnetic resonance imaging, the network said, to determine the extent of the injury. A torn Achilles’ would sideline Bryant deep into next year
