I remember being told to take off my purple shades by a poster here when I said AT was our best WR two years ago.  I love Diggs, but AT just seems to have a special understanding of the game that very few players achieve.

How about Tready?  He actually had more catches and yards than Diggs yesterday.  Good for him, and the Vikes!
Gotta give major props to Treadwell.  After that horrible GB game (and many wanting to outright cut him), he has turned in several solid games.  Big first down against the Eagles and some great blocking on a 1st down for Diggs.

This week, caught everything coming his way and some important catches too.  Important part of our offense right now having that competent 3rd WR to find if they are focused on 1 and 2.
I felt I was patient with Treadwell, but I completely gave up on him after that GB fiasco.  It says quite a bit about his character that he can put that game and other poor games behind him, and just continue to work at getting better.

I've noticed his improved play, and the big dude isn't easy to bring down either.  He's a strong runner, and breaks tackles for those tough yards.
I rode Tread hard for awhile now, but he's making some places now at least. Not invisible. A nice surprise but still mild as far as productivity
he can only catch what is thrown his way.... but outside of his catches he is very productive,  nobody gets after it away from the ball like Treadwell.  watch him on run plays and in support of his teammates catches,  the dude is a beast out there on about every play he can be part of... always around the play at the whistle which is something I dont think most fans look at or appreciate, especially the ones who counter that with "then replace him with a TE or OT"  he is never going to live up to the first round expectations,  but he is still a very solid contributor for this offense.

That's where I'm at with the kid...Same place I ended-up with Patterson, cool support - but not worthy of a big contract.

Not sure how many more years Treadwell is under contract here? Not sure if he'll get another one from RS?

He has a much better chance to showcase his wares with Cousins than Case thats for sure. I was at a lot of home games last year where Keenum didn't give a wide-open Treadwell a second thought.

I will give the kid props for resiliency - thats especially tough for someone as young as he is too. He has to be happy with his play the last couple of games.

Same here, I was always looking forward to him contributing.  But I figured Cousins and/or Flip would lose faith in him and it was obvious that Tread had lost faith in himself that game.  So yes, he rebounded nicely after that disaster and has been very solid.

Yep, its nice to see for Treadwell but its still just 'meh'. But that's an upgrade from 'invisible bust'. I liked Jarius Wright's #3 WR kind of impact. Much better. Laquon is at least part of the action now with some catches. I know he's a hard worker and a good kid. But he's been a major disappointment. I keep hearing 'yeah but Diggs and Thielen are ahead of him!'. Ok, put Tread on another team. Is he going to be a #1 WR? A #2? Nope. He'll be exactly what he is right now.

forget his fucking draft spot... thats no way on him.  are you good with Treadwell as a 3rd year receiver in the role that he is in on a team with AT and Diggs ahead of him?  I think hes is showing a huge leap this year and likely would have shown much more last year if the QB wouldnt have decided pre snap where he was going to throw the football.  Hell a lot of good/great receivers take a few years to really find their way in the league.  Treadwell finally has a QB that works the entire field and the comfort that comes from a couple years in the league and it is showing and will likely continue to improve.

Forget his draft spot?  That's a huge part of his story.  Without his draft spot, Treadwell would have not still been on the team to have a 2nd or 3rd year.  His draft spot has greatly benefited him between both his salary and the number of chances he's been given.  You make it sound like his draft spot has been detrimental to him in some way.

but that is a sunk cost.. as of right now he is performing pretty well and thats really all we can look at.  same with a lot of other players,  you cant look at what they did  in relation to where they were drafted,  you just have to look at what they have done recently,  and Treadwell is performing pretty well this year.  you can say hes not living up to his draft status,  but that shouldnt have any bearing on anything after draft day/contract signed.   he is playing for his next contract and thats all that matters... and he isnt out playing anybody else we have seen from the bench so again,  what does his draft position have to do with his play in 2018?

Why not?  Coley was still here and he had done exactly shit.  At least Treadwell was close to realizing potential, working hard and improving.  Coley had potential and that kept him for 2+ years, but it appears he did very little with it.

Treadwell has been given chances because he has talent.  Not because Rick drafted a 6th rounder in the first and had to justify it.

Ok, so our #3 WR was a first round pick.  How about our top 2 WRs as a walk-on and a 5th rounder, so I think it balances out.   Both AT and Diggs needed some time before becoming as good as they are now, and it looks like year three is also a step in the right direction for Treadwell.

Treadwell is having his best season, and isn't that a good thing?  Sticky mentioned liking Wright better, but how's his season with Carolina going?  Are his numbers vastly better now that he can "spread his wings" and he's not sitting behind AT and Diggs?  Is Wright even having a better season than Treadwell?

Personally, I like the physical play that Tready shows from the WR spot.  His blocking ability does make a difference, and is often overlooked.
