Why The Bills Game Is Important
#1
Granted all games are important in an NFL season, but I think the Bills game has added importance for the following reasons:
  • Will the Vikings play down to the opponent?  Good teams beat bad teams even when they play sub-par.  Great teams put their foot on the throat of bad teams throughout the game.
  • Will the Vikings suffer a Green Bay hangover?  Many people thought the Vikings had a New Orleans hang over when they played the Eagles last year, will they suffer with a similar one on Sunday?
I think we will learn a lot about the character of the 2018 Vikings on Sunday.

And the biggest factor: the collective NFL wisdom is that the Vikings should have lost to GB and that the refs stole that game from GB and Rodgers. The refs will want to correct that mistake on Sunday.

Just give me a win with no injuries...We got the Eagles and Rams on the horizon!

Im looking for focus this week which is a hallmark of great teams in this situation.

secondly im looking for us to establish a dominant run game. Not sure we have the personnel but i do believe in the charachter and the fight of our line.

If I'm the Bills, I say screw it: go deep often. See if you can hit some guys or gets some PI calls. Allen can launch it.

With their depleted secondary if I was Kirk and Flip I'd say the same thing. See if we can't punch them out early and then pound them into submission. It takes time to develop deep plays. Allen will need to be launching it while on the run. Their Oline is nearly as depleted as their secondary.  25th in the league and that might be underscored by the fact that the actual score is 23-78. That's facing a whole lot of prevent.
Yep to lose this game would be a historic blunder.

Do not go into a dominant run game--- grinds away but let's a team hang around--- air it out and put them away early

We will see a super conservative game on both sides O and D. No nonsense game plan. Just break them down consistently with rotations. I hope we don't cover if it means winning the game and benching most of our starters b4 the 4th.
