Have you read more hyperbole this season compared to previously?
#1
I get sports news from Twitter also, specific reporters and writers. Try to scour the internet each morning for Viking/NFL news. Read recaps about preseason games. The constant I'm seeing: unbridled hyperbole. I mean, crazy over the top this year. Flashy P catches 4 balls, one for a short TD and now he's going to go OFF for the Patriots. Teddy looks pretty good in 2 games in NY and he's the 'best QB' there. Even our own Kirk Cousins....he threw just 4 passes and now the media is like, 'he's the golden boy'. This is nuts. We've seen how little preseason stats or plays mean when it comes time for the regular season. Teams are playing vanilla, simple offenses and defenses. They are blitzing a ton. They are just trying to see players at the expense of whether they win or lose. The hype is off the charts this year it appears.

I'm seeing so many young reporters covering NFL teams. Young internet wannabes with tons of strong opinions trying to make a living by writing about football. There is more content out there, but its SO bad and poorly done. You really have to sift thru the garbage to get some real news.

Beat me to it MB...

Anyone check out the headlines on how "scary good" GB is looking after 1 preseason game vs Steelers?  And how Jimmy Graham will take that offense to a new level with Rogers and Davante Adams?

I hope we pound the f uck out of them in Lamblow this year (again)....Statement game early in the season.

I create my own hyperbole and proud of it.
Packers need fear us now. The media might not believe it. They're under new management there for a reason. They know what the score is. That's really not a good thing for us but... they are playing catch up now not us.

Not really. We'll know this year if the Packers are playing catch up. Vikings roster is more talented and complete, but that's why they play the games.

After 5 years of domination by them. We are 4-2 the last 3. They fired their DC and GM. Ours OC get a promotion. If all they needed was to get Rodgers healthy to win why the firings? That was their excuse. No Rodgers. You are right we need to play the games. Just the feel I get. Their moves feel forced ours were to make big improvements. They swap one aging pass catcher for another. We lock up our younger one and other young stars long term. Feels like catch up to me but we'll see. Maybe I'm too homer.

Their GM basically retired for health reasons and the DC should have been let go two years ago.  As a Vikings fan I wish they would have made neither move.

They’ll likely be formidable.  Our 4-2 record includes 2 wins without Rogers.
