Jalen Ramsey Has Something to Say (About Literally Everyone)
#1

Well first, kudos to you for reading GQ !

Good read & how can you argue with him ?

What about Kirk Cousins?
I think he's good. I think he's a winner. He's a hell of a competitor. Coming off the play action, he's the best quarterback in the league. Play action passing, he's a hell of a quarterback.

That was worth reading just for the info that it was an ex Green Beret  who told Colin Kaepernick to protest by kneeling.  So much for the right-wing invented BS that he did it to disrespect the military.

Nobody has said he does it to disrespect the military...

many people find it disrespectful to the sacrifices that our milItaly personel have made defending what that flag represents.

Don't try and make a story where there isnt one. And this forum is not the place to make that false argument anyway.

False.
If you can find somebody who says that is his intention please start a thread on it in the appropriate place.

Let's not go there again. It would be harder to find someone who claims the sky is blue.

Do it or dont,  but I honestly can't recall anybody making that claim and to say such things is only going to derail this thread.

*If anybody wants to continue the political direction please take it the other forum.

It’s never had anything to do with the military. It is against the police. It’s particularly eggregious considering every single study, even those hoping to prove the police are bias against people of color, have proven that is not the case.

Facts don’t seem to matter to most of the right or the left. There will always be mistakes in some police shootings. The idea it has in general anything to do with race is simply false. Individual highlighted cases often drive that point home.

The Michael Brown case was in many ways the start of the false narrative. Essentially nothing reported by the media or politicians was accurate in the days, weeks and months after the incident in Ferguson. Celebrities, tv personalities, officials, politicians (including the President) - everyone of them propogated a false narrative, some knowingly. These actions have caused a celebration of cognitive dissonance as well as a pronounced reduction of the use of reason within our society that continues to today. Violence and civil unrest have been encouraged or at least ignored in favor of pushing these false narratives. History and historical context have been manipulated and bastardized to promote division and violent response. It is unconcionable and utterly disgusting. At this point, I’m not sure we recover anytime soon.

Michael Brown strong arm robbed a store owner and headed down the road. When he came into contact with a police officer he attacked him and tried to take his gun. He did not stop until the police officer ended his actions. That’s not my opinion, that is science. Science proved beyond a reasonable doubt that the events happened exactly as the officer described them. Yet no one cared because they could erroneously claim victimhood and few would call them out on it. The truth didn’t continue selling ads so it was conveniently glossed over. It is the same story in the vast majority of cases. These actions, to include Kap’s, wreak havoc on our society the likes of which has not been seen since McCarthy era. I would submit it’s much worse and frightening that it is based on nothing.

The social unscientific construct that is race still provides great influence and control in this country despite the concept of “race” being crushed by science decades ago. Parties will continue to perpetuate this nonsense for the purpose of coercion, power, and votes. They will continue to peddle class differences as well, even though they themselves are often part of the demonized class.

What it comes down to in the end is willful ignorance. Kap has chosen willful ignorance or reason and unbiased evidence. That is why he is shunned. If he wanted to take a knee for something that actually existed it would likely be a much different story. Kap has directed it at the few people willing to put it on the line to make our country a safer place. For that, he should be ashamed of himself.
