There was a freshman on my HS Marching Band when I was a Senior that was just the worst. Carried the biggest bass drum at the end of the line. Out of shape. Couldn't tell his left foot from his right. Late on every roll.
And somehow he went on to make SCV in the early 90s and it changed his life. He stayed in Cali after he aged out and became a drum instructor. Imagine that.
One of the all time great organizations in.DCI and a worthy champion. Congratulations to the Vanguard and all its alumni!
