Incognito apology (aka oh bleep I have no football prospects)

I find it interesting how the public reacts to people with varying levels of mental problems.  If a person who's clearly retarded or is immature (like a small child) says dumb stuff, people react with compassion, but if you go like 2 levels up and they look normal but are low functioning with bad social skills says something dumb they are ridiculed.  It's like the uncanny valley for social skills.
I think the issue is when a low functioning person with such bad social skills gets a platform afforded by celebrity, the issues are all magnified.  He made millions off the backs of fans and for some reason people think we should pay attention to him.  The media plays its part, diving in to the cesspool for a little clickbait.

So no, he shouldn't be ridiculed, but he shouldn't even be paid attention to in the first place.

I agree. The guy has mental health problems. That he has access to twitter just means that everyone gets to see it. That he made money playing in the NFL is irrelevant. He played and was paid.  Zimmer was asked whether the Vikings were interested in Incognito after Incognito said they were, and Zimmer answered no. The rest of it - his insult and apology - is Incognito having a public back and forth with himself.
He is still a young man. I hope he gets help.

I think it's insulting and disrespectful myself that he went there.
we dont know what his relationship was with Tony... the dude is an infantile egomaniac that is fucked in the head ( i think that is a clinical term...no?) ,  if he honestly looked at Tony as father figure or mentor its very likely that him losing that person would cause ol ritchie to slip a few cogs and really go off the rails until he learns to cope with that loss.   Incognito isnt a normal person,  he is a functioning person,  but his mental capacity is limited at best...maybe from birth, maybe from a combination of drugs and head trauma,  but its hard to get real wrapped up in what a mentally handicapped person says or does in a situation like this.

edit:  and for the record... I dont think he should be able to legally buy or own or possess a firearm... not even a bb gun.  maybe one of those suction cup dart guns, but only if it is some silly color like blaze orange or neon green. B)
I get all that. There are mental health issues at play. And I am not questioning his relationship with Coach Sparano. I was mainly speaking about his response to Coach Zimmer. The last thing Incognito needs is to be playing football right now. He needs to get his personal life together.

I could see it as an outlet for him. But that would only be part of the equation. He needs to prioritize his health and wellbeing. I watched a recent interview with him and it kind of gave me that whole Charlie Sheen when he was doing those bizarre podcasts vibe.

If both mental health issues and drug addiction are going on, it's even worse. But he was incoherent at times during the interview and he came across as narcissistic. His body language and the look in his eyes was a dead giveaway that all was not well.
