$81M would include all UTBE incentives.
Would one of those be "a 1,000 yard season" perhaps?  *zing* :p

The only things keeping Diggs from being among the absolute top-tier of NFL WRs are consistency and staying healthy.  IMO he has too many games where he has around 30 yards or less receiving (or isn't on the field at all).  The tools are all there, hopefully he can put them to use a little more consistently this year.

Diggs is only 24 years old. His body has filled out and he's stronger. Nice speed and great big hands. Route runner extraordinaire. Hard worker. Talented. Not sure what else we could want.
Durability and at least a thousand yard season.
We need a "you beat me to it" button...

Man, I definitely under stand the rationale behind signing him, but damn that's a shit ton of coin for someone who can't stay on the field...We are still about 10 million under the cap...hopefully we can sign Barr and tag Richardson if it comes to it...

Great news for the Vikes, and of course, Diggs.  I'm just not so sure the highest paid WR is the best one.  AT runs as good or even better routes and arguably has better hands.  Although Diggs has better moves and is most likely a bit faster.  The Vikings did well financially signing AT to an extension before the '17 season.
AT should have waited on the extension  then.

I think AT played above his ability this past year, I think he's still a good player and him and Diggs together are definitely a top 5 duo, but ATs numbers will dip a bit.

The money did make me blink, but I'm so glad we've got him locked up.  Yes he's gotten dinged, but man does he show up for the bright lights (USB opener vs GB, 2017 home opener vs. NO, Minneapolis Miracle)

As for the Barr or Waynes question posed earlier in the thread, Waynes' 5th year option keeps him here through '19 while Barr could be gone after this season.  If the team wants Barr back, he'll be next.

I loved listening to him talk about what it means to him. He got emotional when he talked about his mom and dad. I am happy for him.
