To have those guys out there and learning, and then having Latavius, Dalvin and Hammer helping them, it’s a really good room, and they are learning to be really good teammates.”

"Hammer" now there is a nickname that fits the position and player.

Ham has improved and he's got a little wiggle for a 236 lb. kid. Decent hands and willing blocker. And a very friendly contract. No way he's not on this roster. It'll be Cook, Murray and Hammer. The Vikings changed his roster designation from FB to RB this offseason. He was in for a surprising number of snaps last year at FB.

There's an interview with Flip on the Vikings site. Guy sounds incredibly excited about the running game especially. Says its the best he's ever seen at this point in the offseason. Top running game, top back, NFL's best play-action QB, NFL's best receivers....I heard they play pretty good defense, too. No need to be excited or anything...

I was told not to worry about RB depth. I wanted to have another speedster on the roster in case Cook can't go 100% or has a set-back.  Murray is good but doesn't excite me with his break away speed.  If Cook , Murray and Hammer is what they go with I'll learn to be good with it.
ps: Hammer,  I like that name.
