So my new girlfriend is a packer fan kind makes my stomach hurt on the plus side she is hot hot still even though we r both almost 50 and I usually date girls that are 10 to 25 years younger than me I've known her for 25 years just one of us has always been on a different journey thing is the packer stuff she thinks clay Mathews is cute it's just that the packer bud is bad MOJO I don't wanna jinx this team should I run away?

I'm 1/2 Sconnie. The old man is from Appleton, WI. So I know Sconnies pretty well too.

You'll have to put up with s hit for a while cause their team is still pretty good as long as Rogers is there.

He's probably got 3-5 years left to play. I cant believe the Packers would get lucky 3 times in a row and add another HOF QB to the team after the current guy runs back to Cali at retirement.

Then you could have a great run of Pack mediocrity. Problem is, she'll be 55 or 60 by then. Smile

Just think of all the "action" you can get on Viking/Packer game days by placing romantic/erotic bets. Or, when the Vikings kick their a$$, you can "gently console" her afterwards. Then if the Pack actually get lucky enough to win, you can be extra sad so you can get "gently consoled".

You could have a lot of fun with this. B)

I'm going to step back from my usual GB response.

Fell in love with a gal who moved from "Beaver Damn, WI" to CA. In fourth grade....we started dating in HS, and into college. Whole side of her family are Packer fans...

Been married now almost 30 years, and I must say they have been VERY cool to my Vikings sensitivities. Sure things get a little tense twice a year...but that twice a year.
I think they back off because they know that EVERY VIKINGS fan is devoted.

And devotion is a GOOD thing. ESPECIALLY in relationships.

So I say, saddle up partner and enjoy the ride.

I will take your word for it... Its been my experience all women dont handle anger in the same way.... for example I dated a girl in HS that my friends called "(black and) blue balls" and not in the conventional sense... she had no qualms with directing her anger towards my kiwis... and consequently... she was quickly left on the curb. :#

Damn V87' - Im 51 and could not imagine dating someone 25 years younger than me, let alone 10 years. Big Props you stud!!

And as far as her being a Packer fan, as long as she has a good sense of humor about things (teasing each other etc.) - then it should be just fine. If she (or you) takes the rivalry too seriously then it may be doomed! Especially when we knock Rogers out for the 2nd year in a row and go onto win the SB. She may not be able to handle your joy/excitement.
