Interesting piece. What there was. My 1st thoughts are Alexander better have a great camp or he's looking at his replacement. Maybe is either way.  Take it easy on Elf in OTA's we are already facing enough questions on Oline as this piece noted and we know all too well.

This caught my eye...

"Hercules Mata’afa was originally listed as a linebacker, but the
Vikings’ website now says he is a defensive end.
Mata’afa was a dominant
player at Washington State but doesn’t have the size to play his
college position of defensive tackle."

That seems like a smart move since his best attribute is that insanely quick first step.  The guy could wreak some havoc on passing downs if he can hold up in the trenches.

I was wondering if he could possible fill BRobs pass rushing down specialist role.  I dont see him as a full time DE,  but as much time as this D spends in nickle and with an improved offensive output we could be in a lot more passing situations going forward.

Of course he will have a lot to learn as BRob is basically calling the D on the field when he is in there,  but we will definitely need somebody to fill that role after this season.

I was really happy to see that...He's one guy to definitely watch in the preseason...That get off is going to be too much for the second and third string tackles he'll face in August...tear it up on ST and I wouldn't be shocked to see him make the 53...
