Jaguars, Vikings to hold joint practices in August

The Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings, teams that fell one victory shy of the Super Bowl last season, will hold joint practices in August.

I am not so keen on this.   There is value in going against a different team in Training Camp, especially a good one like the Jags.   
Also risks, like higher for potential for injuries, cheap shots from the other team, fights, plus they could get a more close up look at some of our young guys who we may try to sneak through waivers.   

With 4 preseason games, and starters playing a limited number of snaps except in game 3, I think that is enough time to get tape and evaluate our guys.

Every year we practice against another team.  Last year it was Cinci.  Gotta give the guys someone else to hit.

I'll bet the players love a change of pace and opportunity to measure-up against competition....Was it the Bengals corners a few years back who were saying the vikings WR's had no dog in em? Starters wouldn't line-up against Thielen?
